Temporary Structure Solutions for Manufacturing
Polesie Toys, a leading manufacturer of high-quality toys, required a significant expansion of their storage facilities to support their growing production and distribution needs. To meet this demand swiftly and effectively, they partnered with Basboga, a leading producer and supplier of temporary structures, and implemented four interconnected BlackBull steel-framed temporary structures. This case study outlines how the 6000 sqm BlackBull solution, delivered and installed within 75 days, provided Polesie Toys with the necessary storage capacity, a comfortable working environment, and enhanced operational flow through innovative design features.
The Challenge & Solution
The Challenge
Polesie Toys is a well-established European manufacturer known for producing a wide range of high-quality plastic toys. With a strong focus on durability, safety, and engaging designs, they have earned a trusted reputation among parents and children alike. Their products are distributed internationally, catering to a diverse range of age groups and play preferences.
Polesie Toys faced a significant challenge common to growing manufacturers: a need for significantly more storage space. Their expanding product lines and increasing sales, both domestically and internationally, had outgrown their existing warehousing capabilities. This shortage of space threatened to create bottlenecks in their production and distribution processes, potentially impacting order fulfilment and product quality. They needed a solution that not only provided ample space but also ensured the proper storage conditions for their toys.
The Solution
To address their storage challenges, Polesie Toys selected Basboga’s BlackBull temporary structures. These structures offered a compelling combination of rapid deployment, robust construction, and customisable features. Four individual structures, each measuring 20m wide by 75m long with a 10.6m ridge height, were chosen, providing a total of 6000 sqm of additional storage. Critically, Basboga designed the structures to be interconnected with tunnels, creating a seamless flow between them. The inclusion of insulation and an inner liner addressed the need for a climate-controlled environment to protect the toys from condensation and temperature fluctuations.
Conclusion
The Polesie Toys case study demonstrates the effectiveness of Basboga’s BlackBull temporary structures in providing tailored solutions for complex storage needs. By choosing this solution, Polesie Toys not only gained substantial storage capacity but also enhanced its operational efficiency through a well-designed, interconnected layout. The project highlights the value of temporary structures as a flexible, rapid, and cost-effective alternative to traditional construction, particularly for businesses experiencing dynamic growth.
It also showcases Basboga’s commitment to providing high-quality, customisable solutions that address the specific needs of its clients in a timely manner.
